Friday was another full day. After an early breakfast it was off to tour the oldest city continuously occupied by Europeans in North America, St Augustine. This is a very interesting city, one we may want to consider returning to as a club tour.

wine tasting We took a guided tram ride through the city, stopping to visit the winery, Flagler College (a former 1880’s resort hotel), the oldest store and many more.

It was 4:15 before we returned to our A’s and 5:30 before we got back to Jacksonville. We had little time to rest, as the awards banquet was this evening. Frank Knapp won a second place in the Touring Class with his 1931 DeLux Roadster, in the fine point judging, Butch Jester a third place with his 1931 Closed Cab Pick-up and Walter Smith won a first place with his 1929 DeLux Delivery. Frank Knapp won the MARC of Originality award with his 1931 Victoria.

Saturday morning everyone packed up early to return home. Another uneventful trip!
