Larry Komp's Kuest

This is the story of a dream that Larry "Larr" Komp once had...

Once upon a time, long, long ago Larry Komp had a dream. That dream was to restore an AA Ford truck. So, he acquired a vehicle from James McPherson about October 1999 and the kuest began...

In Larry's words: "I got the truck from Jim (McPherson) when we were at Hershey, about October 6th, 1999. He had Jim Hedges (of Aiken) bring it and other stuff back from Oklahoma. I actually traded a 1929 Murray Town Sedan body, frame and engine (matching numbers!) and some money for the truck. The truck was never at Hershey, Jim just talked about it to me. He had someone who wanted the town sedan. I went to Jim's house later to pick up the truck plus extra chassis, engine, etc. Using the Restorer article called "Big Iron" to show Cassie (my daughter) what the truck would look like when assembled, she immediately named it "Pig Iron". So this project can be referred to as the Pig Iron's restoration.
